This presentation will explore the strategic benefits of engaging an external third-party investigator in workplace investigations—particularly in matters that may lead to litigation. While in-house counsel or defense attorneys are often well-equipped to assess internal complaints, using an independent investigator can enhance credibility, ensure impartiality, and help preserve key privileges. We’ll discuss how this approach supports legal strategy, helps manage risk, and can stand up to scrutiny from agencies, courts, and opposing counsel.
The presentation will also briefly highlight a related service offered by the speaker: managing “Pick Up Stix” campaigns to resolve putative class member claims in wage-and-hour class and PAGA actions, helping defense counsel close cases efficiently and cost-effectively without formal class administration.
